Tracce
Riserva 2011
“The soil harbours identity, characteristics, notes.
Origins, roots, shoots, flowers, fruits, hands.
We use tools, we use technology, we use time.
Transforming, fermenting, existence flows in and its soul emerges.
Everything leaves permanent Tracks.”
Born from Chardonnay grapes, hand harvested in the most suited vineyards of Maso Warth and the Cembra Valley, this is Moser’s most prized Trentodoc. A Metodo Classico Extra-Brut sparkling wine that undergoes an extreme ageing on the lees of 132 months to maximise the expressive potential of this variety.
GRAPES
100% Chardonnay
from Maso Warth and Cembra Valley
The grapes sourced from the vineyards rich in dolomite rock of Maso Warth, bathed by the Ora del Garda breeze, bring sapidity and body to the wine.
The Chardonnay harvested on the terraced pergolas of the Cembra Valley, on limestone rich soil with great day to night temperature differences, add a crisp acidity to the wine and typical golden apple notes.
Time
AND ITS TRACKS
We would like to believe that the soul that comes to light in “Tracce” (tracks) is the sum total of every single fundamental experience/wisdom/attention that was lavished on the wine throughout its production process and accumulated over a very long time.
Our philosophy, focused on showcasing the potential of Trentino’s terroir, brought us to the production of a crisp and elegant Trentodoc that can highlight Chardonnay’s distinctive characteristics and underline the unique tasting qualities of the wines from our best vineyards.
Method and characteristics
132 MONTHS OF AGEING
Tracce Riserva Extra Brut ferments and ages in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks until its bottling. Its evolution then continues by bottle-ageing on the lees for 132 months.
The base wines from two ideally suited areas of Trentino (Maso Warth and Cembra Valley) bring sapidity and structure as well as a crispy acidity to this Metodo Classico sparkling wine. Fine perlage, golden yellow with bright highlights. The nose offers nuances of candied fruit with hints of evolutionary notes. Dry, sapid and creamy on the palate.
